Program Information

Within our agency, we have the ability to provide students with in depth training and direct client care in a multitude of programs. Within the juvenile probation program, students will utilize skills learned in their courses to cofacilitate an anger management style group. Students will also be encouraged to attend community trainings and sit in on meetings to learn about the landscape of Butte County and the social services field. The agency has many different cohorts within including a grant cohort and a diversity, equity, and inclusion committee that students can join to enhance their learning in real life scenarios beyond the classroom.

The most helpful qualities for a student are someone who is resilient, can handle chaos, and is vocal about asking for help. Students who are eager self starters are also ideal for this position as there are a lot of scenarios where you may need to be quick on your feet and adapt to changing schedules and curriculums.
