The Urgent Services Team provides timely access to behavioral health services to those who have moderate to severe behavioral health conditions who are in psychiatric distress. A main component of this department is the Open Access Clinic, which is the entry point for community members seeking behavioral health services. Open Access Clinic is a walk-in clinic whereby community members can complete a screening to determine the appropriate level of care for treatment. Biopsychosocial assessments are completed, and clients are referred to appropriate services within and outside of SYBH. They also provide individual and group therapy services. Some of the tasks may include the following:

  • Complete DHCS Adult or Youth Screening Tool
  • Conduct biopsychsocial assessments
  • Diagnosing using the DSM-5
  • Treatment Planning
