Organization Description

A public charter school serving Transitional Kindergarten-8th grade students throughout Nevada County, California. The shared vision of our school is to provide a rigorous academic environment using art as a lens to shape curriculum.

Program Information

Learning school systems; student and family advocacy; case management; crisis counseling; wellness coaching/counseling with students, families and staff; community resource referrals; mental health support.  

The student intern should be willing to work in a fast past and dynamic environemnt that is present at a TK-8th grade educational setting; able to work with students from diverse backgrounds and developmental ranges between 4-15 years old; willing to work closely with the Student Wellness Coordinator to provide wellness-based supports and services to students, families and staff.  

Health & Safety

Interns might encounter challenging student behaviors which could be unpredictable at times.  Working in schools always carries the risk of germ contaigon due to a variety of hygene practices found in children.
