Program Information

We hope interns will develop or strengthen their understanding of the child welfare system to better understand and support students that we work with. Addittionally, we want them to understand the enrollment process for the community college, financial aid for foster youth, and the supports availible for foster youth through the Community College system(s). We hope interns will gain experience in organization and case management, including documentation and tracking. We also hope that interns will learn to work collaboratively through the sharing of ideas and development of thoughtful/evidence based interventions to support foster youth in community college system.
