Channel Islands Restoration

Organization Description

CIR is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that works to restore habitat on the Channel Islands and adjacent mainland through invasive plant management, native plant propagation and native plant installation. We promote environmental education through lectures, habitat restoration volunteer opportunities including island and mainland service trips and activities for K-12 and adults. We also contract for habitat restoration services and conduct research and monitoring of flora and fauna to determine the effectiveness of restoration techniques and assess the status of native and invasive plants.

Health & Safety

There will be a safety orientation onsite each day before starting work that will explain any potential risks associated with the site (rattlesnakes, poison oak, etc).
