Bright Star Schools

Organization Description

At Bright Star Schools, we prepare our students to become leaders who act with integrity and champion equity to enrich our communities and the world. In nine, tuition-free charter public schools (grades TK - 12) in three communities in Los Angeles -- West Adams/Baldwin Village, Koreatown, and the San Fernando Valley -- our 3,500+ students experience rigorous academics, inclusive education, social-emotional support, and rich life opportunities beyond the classroom.

Program Information

Students will be working with School Counselors in either an elementary, middle, or high school setting in underserved communities in Los Angeles. Students will work on attendance, behavior and academic interventions. Students may also experience facilitating parent workshops and advisory lessons.

Are undocumented students allowed to intern at your organization?

Many sites allow undocumented workers as long as they have an Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN).

Yes, we accept undocumented students as interns.

If you said yes to the question above, please provide us with the alternative requirements undocumented students would need to intern at your organization (e.g., Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN))

The student would just need to go through out clearance process with Live Scan and TB test.

Health & Safety

All students must have TB test, fingerprint clearance and be fully vaccinated against covid.
