Descartes Learning Club (DLC) provides instructors with comprehensive, research-based training that begins with rigorous onboarding and continues through ongoing coaching and professional development. Instructors complete an in-depth study of DLC’s pedagogical materials, pass a detailed training assessment reviewed through individualized feedback, attend live training seminars led by senior instructional leadership featuring demonstrations, role-play, and discussion, and observe experienced instructors in practice. Before teaching independently, instructors develop lesson plans for approval and receive in-class observation and coaching to ensure alignment with DLC’s high instructional standards. Ongoing support includes regular lesson observations, targeted coaching, annual retraining seminars, collaborative discussions, and expert guidance on complex student needs, fostering continuous instructional growth, adaptability, and consistently high-quality teaching outcomes.
The student will teach small groups of students at schools, community centers, and/or the company's own learning center. All these locations are very safe.
