The Parks and Recreation Department strives to ensure the citizens of Fremont receive friendly, valued customer services through maintaining beautiful parks, managing facilities, providing park ranger services, and offering a broad spectrum of recreation programs in a manner that responds to community needs.

The mission of the City of Newark is to provide the quality of services that meet the highest expectation of those we serve. The Recreation & Community Services department mission is to enrich the lives of all community members through our recreation and social programs and services.

Provide therapeutic recreation programs (fitness, social, health and wellness, cultural, intergenerational) for individuals with disabilities and older adults, working on skill development, leisure education, appropriate behavior and recreation participation in inclusive environments.

San Ramon Parks and Community Services creates community through people, parks, partnerships, and programs. To that end we: provide recreational experiences, foster human development, promote health and wellness, increase cultural unity, facilitate community problem solving, strengthen safety and security, and strengthen community image and sense of place. Therapeutic Recreation programs are designed to enhance the quality of lives of individuals with disabilities through meaningful recreation programs. Programs provide recreation opportunities in a safe, caring and positive environment; create self-confidence through exposure to new recreation opportunities; enhance skills in gross motor and fine motor coordination, social interaction, self-expression and foster independence.

Union City's Community and Recreation Services department provides recreation and leisure services to our entire community. We operate the Holly Community Center, Kennedy Community Center, Ruggieri Senior Center, Sports Center, Teen Center, Teen Workshop and, in the Summer, the Dan Oden Swim Complex in Union City. Our mission statement is to provide exceptional facilities, services, and programs that are inclusive, safe, fun and enhance the quality of life in our community.

The City of Wolfforth Library will provide innovative Library services, delivered in a friendly, efficient and effective manner, that will assist all residents to continue to grow and learn throughout life, with materials, programs, and services in a variety of formats suited to the informational and recreational needs of the community, and a relaxed, open environment that offers all citizens the opportunity to meet and interact with others. The vision of the Library is to be a cornerstone in the community, to have resources available for leisure as well as learning, and to facilitate activities for children, teens, and adults throughout the year for the residents of Wolfforth as well as the surrounding communities.
