Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District (Rec & Park) is a Special District, an independent government agency separate from the City of Pleasant Hill and other government agencies. Rec & Park is governed under the Public Resources Code of the State of California and an elected Board of Directors who sets policy for district. Rec & Park was established in 1951 by citizens who desired recreational opportunities and park facilities in their community.

We are a 37 year old Physical Therapy outpatient private practices with 5 clinics in the East Bay region. We offer a system to move beyond pain. At our clinics we combine our expertise in movement and pain with our belief in compassion and respect. We believe everyone has the capacity to heal themselves-we simply provide the opportunity and tools to achieve individual goals. Physical problems exist beyond the body, impacting many aspects of a person’s life. With our help, we help to reclaim body’s potential, and learn skills to sustain well-being. At our clinics we teach not only to take care of an injury, but also how to work smart, and how to manage overall health. We do not treat an area without addressing the rest of the system.

The care home serves children with intellectual impairment, medically fragile, and physically or mentally challenged. The mission is to provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment for the children and young adult to grow and participate in the community as much as physically and mentally able.

TUSD’s Homeless Youth Program in conjunction with the McKinney-Vento Act of 1987 offers students the resources that are needed for establishing a healthy, secure and flourishing education. The program is designed to address the problems that homeless children and youth face in enrolling, attending, and succeeding in school. Our goal is to provide each and every individual with the support that they need to transition smoothly towards achieving a higher education and a steadfast career.

Students will assist students with disabilities. Students who work for Project IMPACT have the opportunity to provide tutoring in various subjects or academic coaching. Working together with families we aim to build protective factors and resiliency, foster empowerment and self-sufficiency, growth, positive coping and behaviors that enable children to succeed in their family, community, school/vocation and life choices. The CFDC functions as a "clinic without walls," thus services are provided at the center, in homes, schools, preschools, transitional housing sites, community centers and free clinics. CFDC collaborates with over 15 different community partners and utilizes over 10 evidence-based practice psychotherapy models.
