San Francisco State University School of Nursing We foster student growth and development, embracing their richly diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, recognizing the individual differences in learning styles and goals, and adapting support systems to help students fulfill their educational goals. Building on a foundation of knowledge from nursing and other disciplines such as psychology, sociology, philosophy, and anthropology, graduates of this program will collaborate with other healthcare disciplines (i.e., medicine, physical therapy, psychology, social work, and others) to provide compassionate and ethical care along the health-illness continuum throughout the lifespan. These educational endeavors affect the healthcare environment and positively influence the health outcomes of individuals, families, communities, and populations. We are committed to the professional development of faculty, staff, and students using our conceptual model, which guides our academic activities. We provide excellent nursing education and academic activities emphasizing patient-centered care, patient safety, teamwork and collaboration, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, informatics, leadership, and lifelong learning for the students as well as faculty and staff.

Providing the highest level of protection from vectors and vector-borne diseases in San Gabriel Valley

Founded in 2014, the San Jose Spiders are a professional Ultimate disc team, competing in the American Ultimate Disc League, or AUDL (pronounced “A-U-D-L”). The Spiders mission is to entertain and inspire our community to live more connected and healthier lives through Ultimate. The Spiders provide live entertainment sporting events.

The SL Community Food Pantry is a volunteer-run organization that provides food for our community.

Our Mission: We support families in the wider San Lorenzo area by coordinating and distributing nutritious emergency food and targeted resources in partnership with volunteers, organizations, and our community. Our Vision: A world where food and essential resources are equitably shared, resulting in a healthy and inclusive community

MISSION: To ensure lifelong learning, San Lorenzo Unified School District, staff, families and community, will collaborate to advance authentic knowledge, skills and attributes that will ensure our students are creative and critical thinkers, ready to fully participate in our changing community and world. VISION: As a result of their education, all students will become compassionate, collaborative and creative problem-solvers, who are resilient, well-informed, civically-engaged advocates for equity and social justice.

Our highly interactive internship program encourages initiative, providing ample opportunities to design, execute, and monitor safe and effective strength and conditioning programs. Each work day is filled with chances to learn, which not only enrich the intern but also improve the performance of our athletes. The self-discipline and leadership skills an intern demonstrates will serve as the key determining factors for how much they benefit from their internship experience. We believe in continued dedication to self-enhancement by staying up to date with the latest in research and performance principles. Internship responsibilities include, but are not limited to, program design and implementation, lifting technique instruction and analysis, injury reconditioning, performance testing, research, and the general day-to-day operations of running the facility. Overall, this comprehensive internship is designed to prepare interns for the real-world job market. This internship will coincide with the traditional college fall, spring and summer semesters.
