Early Childhood Mental Health Program

Organization Description

ECMHP provides at risk families with children 0-6 who have experienced complex trauma . We provide dyadic therapy, wraparound services, preschool consultation, and we also have a therapeutic nursery for children that cannot be maintained in a typical school environment due to their challenging behaviors.

Program Information

Your student will be facilitating a social group in our therapeutic classroom with up to four children to enhance the children's ability to use pro-social behaviors, to increase their ability to function within a group, and to support them to demonstrate age appropriate skills.

  • Background Check (e.g. fingerprinting/livescan, driving record)
  • CPR Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • Must be 18 or older
  • TB Test
  • HIGH RISK: Students will be working with "behaviorally challenged" populations
  • RISK: Event Set-up - Risk includes but not limited to: Lifting, cuts, bruises, etc.
  • SITE REQUIREMENT: Site prefers (or has had contact with) students from a particular major or academic program, or with specific coursework completed (If so, please indicate above Special Instructions).
  • SITE REQUIREMENT: Students are not allowed to take pictures or video.
  • SITE REQUIREMENT: Students will be asked to sign a confidentiality waiver.
