The College Link Program & Project IMPACT
The College Link Program (CLP) was piloted in the 2010-2011 academic year. Our mission is simple: “to help students who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder to transition and succeed in the higher education environment.” Our goal is to assist students in leveraging their individual strengths to facilitate academic and social success. The CLP staff fosters student educational, career, social and independent living skills through creative and flexible approaches to individual needs. The College Link Program philosophy is to increase student independence and decrease dependence on familial and coaching support over the course of the student’s educational career. Project IMPACT (PI), CLP's sister program, is a federally funded TRiO Student Support Disability Services Program designed to provide ancillary assistance to students with documented disabilities. We are committed to encourage undergraduate scholars to persist in college through graduation by offering retention enhancing services such as one-on-one tutoring, assistive technology training, and skill building workshops. By fostering a closely knit learning community, Project IMPACT has supported students through collegiate accomplishments such as Honor Roll, Dean’s list and of course graduation. Being a participant in PROJECT IMPACT means being an Academic Achiever!
