Organization Description

Alameda County Public Health Department provides numerous programs and services that aim to benefit our residents' health and well-being. We also recognize that residents are more than mere consumers of public health services. Many other issues (housing, employment, environment) can impact health. Therefore, our health department is involved in a variety of community-based activities that engage residents and community partners in the planning, evaluation and implementation of health activities.

Program Information

Student will develop basic health administration skills in a health clinic/health education setting. Student will assist in providing bilingual Spanish-English health education sessions with clients. Student will gain knowledge in public health, especially in a community setting.
