Alameda County Workforce Development Board - A department of Alameda County Social Services Agency
The Alameda County Workforce Development Board (ACWDB) is a 27-member employer-led oversight body of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title I programs in Alameda County (outside the city of Oakland). ACWDB sets local program policies in alignment with the WIOA and ensures that there are comprehensive WIOA services for job seekers and youth. There are also provisions in WIOA to serve employers. ACWDB also develops strategic partnerships to address workforce issues. ACWDB members represent the business community, higher education, economic development, labor, government, and community-based organizations. The staff of the ACWDB are employees of and represent the ACWDB as an administrative department within the Alameda Social Services Agency. ACWDB staff members are WIOA subject matter experts and report regularly to ACWDB members regarding key decisions and program policies related to the WIOA Title 1 programs. Mission To provide employers and job seekers with universal access to tools, resources, and services that assists them with obtaining employment and business goals.
The student will have to generally participate in some of the onboarding processes required by the Alameda County Social Services Agency and sign a Consent and Release form for media or photos that may be taken of the student. Students may also decline requests to be photographed or featured in other media outlets or publications.
