Alameda County Library Social Justice Services: Start with a Story Program

Organization Description

“Start With a Story”, a project of the Alameda County Library, delivers story times, free books, and family literacy activities to children, ages 1-16 years old, who visit at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, the Juvenile Justice Center in San Leandro, with more sites to come in 2020.

Program Information

Volunteers will have the unique and valuable opportunity to positively effect the literacy abilities of the little learners and a help build their own personal libraries.
