Alameda County Family Justice Center [inactive]

Organization Description

The Alameda County Family Justice Center (ACFJC) is a one-stop center with 30 onsite and over 50 offsite agencies and programs, for individuals and families experiencing domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault and exploitation, child abuse, child abduction, elder and dependent adult abuse, and human trafficking.

123Read is a program developed by the Alameda County Family Justice Center and based on the concept of the Talk-Read-Sing initiative created by the Hillary Clinton Foundation. Our vision is to impact the lives of trauma-prone children by teaching them and their parents to talk, read and sing together which nurtures healthy practices and communicates love, and hope for a brighter future. In addition, the program teaches caregivers the importance and benefits of early childhood education with a focus on reducing the word gap.
