Organization Description

The City of Benicia’s Community Services Department (BeniciaRec) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents of all ages by providing inclusive, high-quality programs, services, and facilities. Our mission is to promote community connection, wellness, and lifelong learning through early childhood activities, youth and adult recreation, senior services, aquatics, and special events. We manage key city facilities and public spaces while fostering a culture of service, growth, and civic engagement.

Hours of operation 

Hours of operations vary depending on the facility/program. The main office, the Benicia Community Center is open Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. The James Lemos Swim Center is open everyday with the following hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 7:30pm Saturday & Sunday, 9am - 4:45pm
