Organization Description

The Stroke and Disability Learning Center's (SDLC) mission is to support adults with acquired physical / neurological challenges maximize their functional activity and socio-emotional wellness, remain active participants in the community and reduce hospitalization. In further support of this mission, the SDLC functions as a model program and clinical training site for students preparing for health and human service professions. As a result of interaction with SDLC programs and participants, these students increase their empathy and efficacy in service delivery among adults with disabilities.
