The mission of the CSULB Dream Success Center is to provide holistic services, resources, and support to members of the Beach community impacted by immigration policy. The DSC commits to supporting the diverse undocumented student community by providing programs and initiatives that focus on academic support, mental health, career and professional development, and Identity exploration. We seek to empower the undocumented student experience by advocating for equity, promoting allyship, fostering partnerships, and creating dialogue of current issues.

The mission of the Health Science Department is to aid and encourage students’ development into competent professionals and life-long learners who are responsible for community health/public health disciplines, including health education and related areas. The program fosters the development of health professionals who are person-centered and sensitive to the diverse qualities and the changing face of today’s health care delivery system. Upon graduation, our students are able to facilitate the physical, psychological and social well being of people, individually and collectively, in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic metropolitan context.

This program site will allow Hospitality Management students to track Service Learning projects developed by Professors teaching Hospitality Management Service Learning courses.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs seeks to implement educational, cultural and social learning environments that help enrich diverse views of students from various backgrounds, races, cultures, and beliefs. Through advocacy, cultural programming and education, OMA will help to create an institutional ethos that celebrates multiculturalism and promotes social justice and equity for others within the campus community. The CSULB Research Foundation (Research Foundation) was established as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization to enhance and advance the educational mission of CSULB.  The Research Foundation supports a number of programs including Upward Bound, Cal Soap, American Institute for Philanthropic Studies, KKJZ 88.1 FM Radio, and others. 

The Research Foundation provides accounting and administrative services for programs sponsored by federal, state, local, and private funding used for faculty research projects and training programs. This externally-sponsored research allows faculty and students to engage in nationally-recognized scholarly endeavors, and is the cornerstone of CSULB’s academic excellence.

The CSULB Speech-Language Clinic is a university-based teaching clinic that provides diagnostic and therapeutic services free of cost to children and adults who present with speech, language, and/or communication disorders under the supervision of certified and licensed speech-language pathologists. We provide services to

• Young children with speech/language/developmental delays
• Children with speech and/or language disorders due to various etiologies (e.g., genetic disorders, brain injuries, unknown causes)
• School-age children who struggle with spoken (i.e., speaking, understanding) and/or written language (i.e., reading, writing) due to language impairments
• Children and adolescents who struggle with social communication due to autism spectrum disorders or other diagnoses
• Individuals who stutter
• Individuals who struggle with communication after a stroke or a brain injury
• Individuals who experience speech issues related to a diagnosis of a motor speech disorder (e.g., Parkinson’s, Apraxia)
• Individuals who experience cognitive issues (e.g., attention, memory) due to cognitive impairments, a degenerative disease (e.g., Dementia), a stroke, or a traumatic brain injury
• Individuals with voice disorders
