The Waymakers Youth Shelter is a co-ed and 12 bed, short-term crisis intervention shelter. The children we serve are those between the ages of 11-17. Our 2-3 week program is designed to benefit homeless, runaway, abused and at-risk youth as well as youth transitioning from hospital to home. During the youths’ stay, they receive program services including drug and alcohol prevention, educational groups, meals, recreation, supervision, and intensive therapy. Our goal is to guide clients with group, individual, and family counseling to achieve successful family reunification.

What we do:

As many justice impacted individuals come home many then face issues reacclimating to society. We help ease that transition by offering a variety of services that will help and guide them along the way. Our goal is now only ensure a successful transition, but provide for them values and an environment that will continue to help guide them in life. 

Our mission is to provide youth and young adults in under-served communities with the tools necessary to create a comprehensive college and career pathway that promotes furthering their education and pursuing careers that leads them to productive lives.

Dr. Mei K Tsai and Dr. Peter Y Tsai are a wife / husband team of acupuncture doctors in Huntington Beach, CA. Due to recent COVID-19, we've moved from seeing patients in Lakewood, CA to Huntington Beach, CA. In addition to being a second generation acupuncture and herbal doctors, with our combined experience of over a half a century, we've helped thousands of patients ranging from toddlers to golden agers.
