WomenShelter of Long Beach
WomenShelter of Long Beach is a non-profit organization committed to eliminating domestic violence through compassionate intervention, education, and personal empowerment. WSLB assists victims and their children by providing safe shelter, counseling, case management, education, health and legal advocacy, and many other supportive services at no cost.
All students serving must have a current (within a year) negative TB test.
There's a policy in place for clients who test covid positive at the shelter.
The student will meet with the supervisor once a week to check progress. If the student works at the shelter, the manager and staff will see the student. Interns will shadow staff for the first month and then join case management or groups with the team.
