Organization Description

Dirt-Stained Roses Productions (DSR) is an award-winning, NAACP Image Award-nominated production company dedicated to innovation, visibility, and social justice through storytelling. Founded in 2022, DSR develops original content across film, television, documentaries, podcasts, theater, books, animation, and digital media.

DSR also develops emerging storytellers and creative professionals through screenwriting, internship and mentorship, scholarship, and community outreach programs. Our Internship & Mentorship Program welcomes students from diverse academic disciplines to apply their unique skills and perspectives to the entertainment industry. Interns gain hands-on experience supporting active productions and company initiatives across development, writing, producing, production, post-production, digital media, social media management, marketing, communications, and community outreach. Students also receive professional mentorship, opportunities to create portfolio-ready work, and career guidance to help them understand how their individual fields of study can contribute to the entertainment industry and broader creative economy.

Program Information

Internship schedules are flexible and will vary based on each student’s academic schedule and availability, as well as the needs and timelines of assigned projects. Some production, event, or community outreach opportunities may occasionally take place during evenings or weekends with advance notice.
