Program Sites

Alisal Union School District operates eleven K-6 schools and partners with one Charter School in the most rapidly growing section of Salinas. In addition to our regular classroom teachers, our schools have certificated resource staff consisting of Bilingual Resource Teachers, Migrant Resource Teachers, Literacy Specialists, Instructional Coaches and Resource Specialists. Speech Therapists, Psychologists, School Nurses and Certified Nurses Assistants are also employed to provide additional resources to classroom teachers.

The Alisal Union School District currently serves about 7,700 students. Our multi-ethnic student population is distributed as follows:

• 85%  Qualify for Free/Reduced-Priced Meals (although All of our students get free meals)

• 100% amazing students/our country's future leaders

All K-12 school districts require TB testing and some form of background checking (Livescan fingerprinting; Meagan’s List check; etc.). The level of clearance required depends on degree of supervision.

The mission of the Hollister School District is to prepare each student for future success. The district serves a student population of about 5,500 students. Around 40% of our student are English Learners. Much effort is given to support effective instruction practices which provide our students with a child-centered, standards-based education that also creates critical, creative thinkers. With open communication between schools and the community, strong support from parents, and clearly defined educational goals, we believe that all children will have the opportunity to meet their full potential and be productive members of society.

At MPUSD, the Educational Services department is committed to providing services and support to meet the needs of our diverse learners from grades K-12 and beyond. We work together with our school leaders and staff to ensure all of our students have access to a high-quality instructional program and the services needed to succeed as individuals.

California Public High School- Expecting all students to use their hearts and minds well.

The transformative learning experiences at Chualar Union School are designed to help our students grow both in and out of the classroom. Chualar Union Elementary School is located just south of the city of Salinas. Chualar reflects the vibrant and hard-working energy of the area. Our passionate and skilled team members are here to help our students make an impact on the world.

Elementary school provides education for students in grades K-8. AVID web page, 8th-grade class standards improvements migrant farmworker community, low-income families mainly living in labor camps.
