Solana Center for Environmental Innovation

Organization Description

Our mission is to empower innovative solutions to climate change through education, community engagement, and research. Our programs meet people where they are in their journey to a more eco-friendly life. We offer education in the areas of soil regeneration, water conservation, and waste reduction, among others. Our Encinitas location is open twice a week to the public offering composting supplies for sale, electronic waste collection, a tool lending library and Green Convene serviceware loan program. Volunteers help staff our front desk, maintain our grounds and assist our educators.

Health & Safety

Some volunteer tasks involve lifting 20 - 30 lbs. However, this will not be required if this creates any difficulty for the student.
