Chico High School - Bilingual Spanish Speaking Student Support
The mission of the Chico Unified School District, a partnership of students, staff, families and community, is to ensure all students achieve high levels of academic and personal success, contribute to the community and confidently compete in a changing global society by engaging in quality educational programs that address diverse student needs and promote learning throughout life.
Students may encounter emotionally intense situations while working with youth and families experiencing homelessness, including exposure to trauma, crisis situations, and complex family dynamics. The role may involve supporting students in high-stress environments and navigating unpredictable circumstances. There may be occasional travel within the community or between school sites, and interns may interact with families in a variety of settings. While safety protocols are in place, interns should be aware of potential exposure to communicable illnesses common in school environments.Ongoing supervision, guidance, and established safety procedures are provided to support interns in managing these experiences in a safe and professional manner.
