Explore grant-writing opportunities and community partnerships to expand access to loaner devices such as Chromebooks and WiFi hotspots for community members lacking reliable technology access. 3. Strengthen collaboration and referral pathways between the library and local community organizations, social service providers, and technology access programs such as Computers for Classrooms. 4. Develop community-based events and group activities that foster social connection, peer engagement, and education around issues impacting library patrons, including digital safety, scam prevention, accessibility, and healthy technology use. 5. Begin exploring and developing a long-term framework for integrating social work-informed services or future social work positions within the Butte County Library system. 6. Increase visibility and programming within smaller and underserved library branches through outreach campaigns, workshops, presentations, and collaboration with local organizations. Skills will include: communication, listening, community engagement, outreach and advocacy, relationship-building, cultural humility, and reducing service disparities in rural communities. Other skills to include: grant research and development, program planning, advocacy for equitable access, community needs assessment, systems-level problem solving, interdisciplinary collaboration, resource coordination, community networking, systems navigation, and interagency communication. We will also offer opportunities to help group skills around group facilitation, psychoeducation, and community engagement.
