Hope's Corner became an independent 501 (c)(3) non-profit in 2015. We employ 3-4 part-time employees and all other work is provided by volunteers. In 2022, we received a record 9,000+ hours of service from over 2,000 volunteers. The Hope’s Corner meal program serves free breakfast and bag lunch every Monday 8am-9am (beginning Aug 7, 2023) Wednesday 8am-9am and Saturday 8 am-10 am. The shower and laundry program hours are Monday (beginning Aug 7) 8:30am – noon, Wednesday 8:30 am-noon, and Saturday 8:30 am-2:15 pm. Hope's Corner is funded by various grants and individual and corporate donors.

The J-Town Community TV Internship is an unpaid, experiential learning opportunity focused on video production, storytelling, and cultural programming located in San Jose Japantown. Interns will film local events, work directly with professional filmmaker Duane Kubo and Henry Nakata, and receive peer mentorship from returning SJSU interns.
The San Jose JACL is accepting applications for up to four (4) new interns. This program offers valuable real-world experience while fostering a deeper connection to Japanese American history, culture, and community.
About J-Town Community TV
J-Town Community TV (JTCTV) is a YouTube channel films events and cultural programs in San Jose Japantown and ensures San Jose's history is archived at the San Jose Japanese American Museum. The YouTube channel is a platform for recording events held at Japantown venues. The channel provides a resource for people to stay informed about events and initiatives within Japantown when they are unable to attend in person.
