Organization Description The Center for Social Dynamics (CSD) is a multi-cultural organization providing ABA autism treatment to diverse populations in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have a strong commitment to: Rapid responding to evolving child and parent needs Cultural sensitivity to family values and generational dynamics A Multi-disciplinary approach to evidence-based methods Creative play in a Natural Learning Environment and structured Intensive Teaching. CSD’s behavioral therapy techniques are grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a discipline devoted to understanding and improving socially significant behavior and reaching goals that matter. Through the use of ABA principles, we teach communication, flexibility, socialization, and daily living skills. We embrace opportunities to engage and participate in the communities we serve. By taking part in local events, disability charities, conferences and activities with community partners, we can connect and have some fun with our clients, families, and their communities. We focus on improving social, communication, academic, and independent living skills in a positive, supportive environment through personalized and evidence-based behavioral services. Through diagnostic evaluations, comprehensive and focused ABA therapies, Speech and Occupational therapies, counseling services, we motivate individuals – from 12 months old through adulthood – to embrace learning by embedding therapy within their natural routines at home, in school, at our Centers, or out in the community. CNS teaches life skills to brain injured people, helping them to achieve independence. Each brain injury is unique, and each patient’s treatment plan is tailored to their needs. Core skills are taught in our clinics, then practiced in our residential program. Patients learn to cook, clean, live safely and adopt appropriate behaviors. Everyone involved in the patient’s recovery is updated regularly on behavior, medications, therapy, and milestones. Outcome is important to us, and we ensure progress by offering intensive therapies that transform lives.

Centro Legal de la Raza was founded in 1969 by law students in the Fruitvale of Oakland. Originally, Centro’s founders centered their work around addressing police brutality, immigration, education rights, and conscientious objector status during the Vietnam War. Since then, Centro has widely expanded but is still located in the Fruitvale area. We now have four main programs: Tenants’ Rights, Immigrants’ Rights, and Workers’ Rights, and a Youth Law Academy to support high school students of color in pursuing ambitions towards legal careers. Additionally, we practice affirmative litigation in state and federal courts, including class actions. Centro provides legal services and education, and engages in policy advocacy and representation for low-income, immigrant communities and communities of color in the East Bay. Challenge School is committed to educating the whole person. We strive to unite the best elements of Eastern and Western traditions and practices and grow the individual’s inquiring mind. Our curriculum is designed to be developmentally appropriate for each age level, rooted in bilingual education and a multicultural environment. We utilize instructional and information technology, fusing both Western and Chinese philosophies for individual character development. Our holistic approach to education involves cooperation with parents, family, and the community around us.

Child Start, Inc. (Child Start) is a non-profit organization that operates the Early Head Start and Head Start programs in Napa and Solano Counties.To support the educational, social and emotional development of children, ages 0-5, by providing high quality, comprehensive and family-focused early childhood services in partnership with the community.

Children's Museum Tucson has 17,000 square feet space with 11 indoor exhibits and party rooms. It also includes a beautiful outdoor courtyard with an additional three exhibits and lots of space for kids. The Museum strives to provide fun, play-based, interactive, hands-on learning experiences for children and their families.

Chinese Hospital, a community-owned, not-for-profit organization, exists primarily to deliver quality health care in a cost effective way, responsive to the community’s ethnic and cultural uniqueness, providing access to health care and acceptability to all socioeconomic levels. Chinese Hospital is governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees, broadly representative of the community, and strives to assume a leadership role in all health matters.
