Health Access Foundation

Health Access is the statewide health care consumer advocacy coalition, advocating for quality, affordable health care for all Californians. As a coalition organization representing consumer groups, communities of color, immigrants, people with disabilities, children, seniors, women, people of faith, and organized labor, Health Access seeks to connect grassroots organizing to policy work, on-the-ground mobilization with savvy Sacramento strategy. Health Access undertakes community organizing and education, research and policy analysis, and advocacy to benefit health care consumers, both insured and uninsured. Health Access represents consumers—insured, uninsured, under-insured—at the California Legislature, at administrative and regulatory agencies, in the media, and in public forums. Health Access hold the health care industry accountable, from insurers to drug companies to doctors and hospitals, and that health care consumers are also represented in critical policy discussions in the Capitol and elsewhere. With offices in Sacramento, Oakland, and Los Angeles, Health Access serves a statewide constituency.
