Southwest Community Corporation at I.T. Bookman Community Center was built on the foundation of a communal need for multipurpose space within the community, with the purpose of embracing the needs of the surrounding Oceanview, Merced Heights, and Ingleside (OMI) neighborhoods and serving it's residence in a more consorted and collaborative effort. Its partnerships with the Department of Aging and Adult Services, Department of Public Health and the Stonestown Family YMCA has resulted in a continuum of focused center services to the entire community. The board, staff and participants work together to develop and implement quality, service enriched activities and programs that address aging in place, health disparities, barrier removal, physical fitness, diet, nutrition and social engagement, to all age groups, while maintaining an atmosphere that encourages positive growth, intergeneration learning experiences and community revitalization through the use of the facility, civic and private activities and events.

SPG is a Non-Public Agency that partners with schools to provide a variety of services, including behavior support. We clinician-led team that believes services should be accessible, inclusive, and empowering. We reimagine and transform how families and individuals receive specialized support by providing exceptional collaborative care. Our mission: Empower Remarkable Change Together. SVdP accomplishes its mission of Neighbors Helping Neighbors by delivering direct assistance to those who need a helping hand. Helping neighbors meet basic needs – from providing a place to shower to receiving a warm meal – is at the heart of SVdP. Support service and job training programs are also provided as pathways out of poverty. SVdP engages with the community in many different ways: through the services it offers at its West Oakland direct service campus, its retail stores that offer gently-worn goods at very low prices, and its grass-roots Conferences that offer direct support to neighbors-in-need in parishes across Alameda County. Our direct service campus also functions as an outreach location for other agencies, like veteran service groups, the Alameda County Health Department, and homeless advocacy groups. In addition, the direct service campus is also the location of SVdP's Foot Clinic, which is offered through the generous support of the Order of Malta. SVdP works with the hope that one day all people in Alameda County will be self-sufficient or receive the support they need to live sustainably.

Acute Care hospital in TriValley area. Provide medical/surgical services to all patients, both in and out. JCAHO accredited for Total Joint Program and Bariatric Program.
