Misson:

Voces Unidas: HSI Student Advisory Board at CSUMB advances Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) servingness by centering the voices of Latinx/e students and other underrepresented communities in institutional decision-making. We empower students—especially those navigating intersecting identities—to engage with campus leaders, influence policies, and advocate for equitable change.

Through civic engagement, mentorship, and leadership development, we foster an inclusive and collaborative environment where student perspectives shape initiatives and resource distribution. We are committed to ensuring CSUMB not only reflects its diverse student body, but actively serves it.

This matters because representation alone is not enough—true servingness requires accountability, shared power, and systems that allow all students to thrive.
