EM&US is part of CSUSM's Facilities Development and Management department. Our goal is to create the most comfortable, reliable and efficient environment for students, staff and faculty while maintaining required safety protocols. We manage energy efficiency measures that help us achieve those goals while saving tax dollars. Our department is responsible for carrying out some of the CSU system’s loftiest initiatives including a net zero energy, reducing green house gas emissions, and reducing water consumption.

We are so excited that you are taking a service learning course! Every student taking a service learning course must be placed with a community partner (service learning site) to complete their service learning hours.
You might be completing service learning because it is a requirement of the course, optional for the course, or it is for extra credit. The expected service learning hours to be completed by the students is determined by the course instructor. Some instructors have existing partnerships with a community partner for you to complete service learning hours.
