Organization Description

The San Marcos Unified School District is an innovative and collaborative community providing an unparalleled educational experience. Through an engaging and supportive environment, all our students are challenged, inspired, and poised to excel. Our district has 11 elementary schools, one K-8 school, three middle schools, two comprehensive schools, and four alternative schools. We have approximately 21,300 studens enrolled.

Program Information

San Marcos Unified School District offers a wide range of meaningful service-learning opportunities for students across all grade levels. Students may support classrooms in elementary, middle, and high schools by assisting teachers with instructional activities, small-group work, and enrichment projects. There are also opportunities to provide targeted support to students in Special Education programs and to English Learners, helping with academic practice, language development, and inclusive classroom activities. These experiences allow students to give back to their school community while building empathy, leadership skills, and a deeper understanding of diverse learning needs.
