Ventana Wildlife Society (VWS)

Organization Description

Our Mission

To conserve native wildlife and their habitats through science, education and collaboration.

Program Information

We fulfill our mission through our California Condor Recovery efforts, and through a robust Education and Outreach Program that focuses on removing barriers to accessing and connecting with the outdoors.

By connecting people to the environment, we are fostering nature awareness and environmental stewardship, because people protect what they love. In addition, when people have meaningful outdoor experiences, their health, quality of life and social well-being improve, and in turn communities become stronger and more sustainable. Everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy time outdoors, because when people connect with nature, we all benefit.
