Description : Asian Health Services Youth Program will run various summer programs for Oakland and East Bay Youth. One will focus on connecting youth to the elder generation called Bridging Generations. Another will focus on young men. Depending on capacity, we may run our summer leadership program as well as an outdoors focused program. Programs will run 2-3 times per week. We prefer a minimum of 20 hours per week during the summer. We are flexible with start and end dates.

Description: Asian Health Services Youth Program has two websites that are in need of renovation. Priorities are listed in order. One site needs to be moved to a more modern CMS like Wordpress. The other has modern structure but needs new content and a review of user experience. Both sites need some design and branding work. Estimated hours: Website A Migration: 20 hours Website B Content Update: 20 hours Logo and Branding: 10 hours

Description: Located in Oakland's Chinatown, The Spot Youth Center and the Asian Health Services Teen Clinic are key locations where Oakland youth will go for support and services. Our internships focus on supporting staff with youth development and leadership groups, in-class and in-community health education, and comprehensive and confidential reproductive health services. Through our Patient Leadership Councils, community events, and contact through our clinics, our Community Liaison Unit provides outreach, education, and enrollment opportunities. If you are interested in outreach and educating AAPI communities and patients, please contact us. We prefer a longer term volunteer or internship at a minimum of 3 months, 12-16 hours per week.
