Alisal Union School District operates eleven K-6 schools and partners with one Charter School in the most rapidly growing section of Salinas. In addition to our regular classroom teachers, our schools have certificated resource staff consisting of Bilingual Resource Teachers, Migrant Resource Teachers, Literacy Specialists, Instructional Coaches and Resource Specialists. Speech Therapists, Psychologists, School Nurses and Certified Nurses Assistants are also employed to provide additional resources to classroom teachers.

The Alisal Union School District currently serves about 7,700 students. Our multi-ethnic student population is distributed as follows:

All K-12 school districts require TB testing and some form of background checking (Livescan fingerprinting; Meagan’s List check; etc.). The level of clearance required depends on degree of supervision.

Alliance on Aging is one of the largest non-profit organizations in Monterey County that provides care and resources to senior citizens. As a community leader and advocate, we provide services and resources that address the challenges and opportunities of again. Serving over 7,000 individuals and families we provide support with the Medicare application process, peer support groups, nursing home information and referrals, as well as senior employment training and income tax service.

The Alliance on Aging was established in 1970 by a group of concerned local citizens who wanted to help seniors remain safely in their own homes for as long as possible. This volunteer driven organization which began as a single program with a handful of volunteers is now a multi-purpose senior service agency with over 200 volunteers. 

Case management with students grades 7th thru 12th in alternative settings such as community and court schools. Students are high risk, high need with multiple traumatic events and case managers make every effort to provide and assist in stabilizing them (and their families) in order to bring about academic success.

With stores throughout California, American Cancer Society Discovery Shop locations help support the fight against cancer through the sale of high quality, gently used, donated merchandise. For 58 years, the Society has owned and operated these specialty upscale resale stores, featuring items such as clothing, accessories, jewelry, furniture, artwork, antiques, collectibles, and other household items.

Our mission is to provide a social environment to our veterans that are serving and have served in the United States arms forces.

To promote the creation of technology that's made in America. Main technical areas include but not limited to AI, Cloud, Wireless, Software, Apps, & more. A part of our mission is to connect with American technology workers who have been laid off from their work through volunteering & future employment opportunities. A focus is technology workers displaced by adverse impacts of globalization. We also connect with STEM students who are still in higher education or recent graduates from higher education seeking volunteer or employment opportunities in technology.
