Program Sites

The mission of Aptos High School is to educate and support learners in reaching their highest potential. We prepare students to pursue a successful future and to make positive contributions to the community and the global society.

The Arroyo High school Track and Field program allows student to partake in sports on a competitive level outside of the academic school day. Students are are exposed to many instances where there ability to adapt will be tested. How competitive can they be, Can the balance a student/athlete lifestyle, can they lead other athletes, can they teach a new athletes about the team and different events.

SLI students will support teachers and students in grades K-6th including the ASES Program

Students will help plan and prep for the art classes and workshops. Establish relationships with students and help individuals with art.

Gilroy Unified School District is located in the southernmost region of Santa Clara County. It is one of a few districts in the county that continues to grow. Over the last 19 years, the student population has grown from 8,448 in 1993-1994 to more than 11,000 K-12 students today.

The surrounding Gilroy community has experienced growth in housing and industry, Known for its garlic fields, the agricultural areas that surround Gilroy provide a diverse array of agribusiness opportunities for its occupants. The town has also become home to commuters to Silicon Valley and San Jose. Even with the current economic downturn, many of the agribusinesses and other operations are thriving. The housing industry crisis has not impacted the increase in students, which exceeded projected numbers this year by 360 students.

All service learning students will be required to have a TB test and Fingerprinting prior to starting their service hours.

Alisal Union School District operates eleven K-6 schools and partners with one Charter School in the most rapidly growing section of Salinas. In addition to our regular classroom teachers, our schools have certificated resource staff consisting of Bilingual Resource Teachers, Migrant Resource Teachers, Literacy Specialists, Instructional Coaches and Resource Specialists. Speech Therapists, Psychologists, School Nurses and Certified Nurses Assistants are also employed to provide additional resources to classroom teachers.

The Alisal Union School District currently serves about 7,700 students. Our multi-ethnic student population is distributed as follows:

All K-12 school districts require TB testing and some form of background checking (Livescan fingerprinting; Meagan’s List check; etc.). The level of clearance required depends on degree of supervision.
