El Camino Futbol Club

El Camino Futbol Club (ECFC) was established in 2017 in Salinas, California. Its formation was led by the inspiration and leadership of the late Richard E. Mussallem II. Richard was very instrumental over the previous years in starting another local competitive youth soccer club in our county. His experience along with the guidance of our Technical Director Sergio Herrera and other consultants, helped pave the way for the start of ECFC.

El Camino Homeless Shelter

El Camino Homeless Organization (ECHO) operates a safe and secure overnight 50 bed shelter to meet the immediate needs of families and individuals who have become homeless.  With a unique residency program, clients are provided case management services to assist them in securing a job and finding permanent and sustainable housing.  While enrolled in the program, clients are taught life skills for employment, budgeting, health care management and social interaction.

A force of 1,500 community volunteers provide ancillary support to run the shelter program and the meal program that serves as many as 80 dinners each night to shelter residents and the homeless population.

ECHO’s mission since 2001 is to empower people in SLO County to make positive change by providing food, shelter, and supportive services.

El Roble Elementary School - Gilroy Unified School District

Gilroy Unified School District is located in the southernmost region of Santa Clara County. It is one of a few districts in the county that continues to grow. Over the last 19 years, the student population has grown from 8,448 in 1993-1994 to more than 11,000 K-12 students today.

The surrounding Gilroy community has experienced growth in housing and industry, Known for its garlic fields, the agricultural areas that surround Gilroy provide a diverse array of agribusiness opportunities for its occupants. The town has also become home to commuters to Silicon Valley and San Jose. Even with the current economic downturn, many of the agribusinesses and other operations are thriving. The housing industry crisis has not impacted the increase in students, which exceeded projected numbers this year by 360 students.

 

All service learning students will be required to have a TB test and Fingerprinting prior to starting their service hours.

Elevate 831 is a community-focused organization uplifting the Monterey Bay area through creative events and collaboration. Our signature event, Night Market 831, is a free, family-friendly market held the first Friday of every month at the Sand City Art Park (525 Ortiz Ave). It’s a welcoming space where people from all backgrounds come together to enjoy live music, local food, and art. With low vendor fees, the market provides an accessible platform for local entrepreneurs, artists, and nonprofits to showcase their work and celebrate community under the lights.
